It was an impressive start for returnees, Remo Stars Football Club (RSFC) of Ikenne-Remo, as they recorded a comfortable 2-0 win  against their host, Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries Football Club (MFM FC) of Lagos in Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) opener on Friday for 2021/2022 season

The visiting Sky-Blue side scored their two goals in the remaining half of the league opener played  at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, formerly known as Onikan Stadium, Lagos.

Akanni Qudus finally broke the deadlock for the Sky Blue Stars in the 55th minute after pouncing on Ifeanyi Ojukwu's pass, to give the visitors the deserved lead

Before the goal, both sides had started brilliantly but it was the visitors, Remo Stars who had the first attempt at goal when Tolulope Ojo' s straight shot after connecting  a long pass from Dayo Ojo, went straight into the hands of Osayi Kingdom.

Andy Okpe however grabbed the second goal after tapping the ball in from a pass from Dayo Ojo who had dribbled past his marker

The late minutes goal put the game beyond the Olukoya boys

The host, MFM FC had their first opportunity from a free kick, Precious Roland sent in the kick and Oludayo Alabi almost put them ahead but his attempt went over the bar.
