Governor Dapo Abiodun has offered automatic employment to the Seven Best Graduating Students of the Ogun State College of Health Technology, Ilese Ijebu,(OSCOTECH) drawn from year 2014 to date
The announcement is in line with the tradition of the governor to constantly reward academic excellence with automatic employment
Abiodun who announced the jobs offer at the recent 2nd Convocation Ceremony of the institution, reaffirmed that the present adminstration in the state would not renege on its promise to recognize sterling educational performance across board, saying the gesture was part of the adminstration’s interwoven strategy towards laying a solid education foundation for the future of Ogun State indigenes.
The Governor who was represented by the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof Abayomi Arigbabu at the event, was full of praises for the Institution for sustaining the rich tradition of producing highly skilled health officers and technologists for the health sector in Nigeria
“We are so elated that since the Establishment of the College, it has continued to fufill the purpose of its creation and has also maintain a reputation of not only as the oldest state-owned health tertiary institution in the state, but has continued to produce skilled and competent health officers, technologist required to complement the health sector of Prince Dapo Abiodun led-administration in the State", he added.
Provost of the College, Dr. Abiodun Oladunjoye had earlier appreciated the contributions of the present adminstration for the achievements and successes recorded in all spheres, particularly in the areas of Health and Education,
He maintained that the dream of the College was to deliver world-best training of middle and high level manpower in health and other health related profession in Nigeria.
" We are thrilled by the massive renovation of Schools across the State, the recent employment of teachers under Ogun-Teach scheme and deserving attention to all tertiary institutions to mention but a few. Your Excellency, we have copied from your laudable initiatives and strong will to invest in the infrastructure of academic institutions which is quite evident in our three recently-completed projects which you have just commissioned, they include; Prince Dapo Abiodun e-library, Dental therapy Building and medical Laboratory Technician Complex block" the provost added
The highlight of the event was the conferment of Honorary Fellowship Award to Mr Tokunbo Talabi Secretary to the State Government for his all-round supportive contribution for the institution and the duo of Major General Saidu Ayodele Balogun Rtd. Otunba Kunle Kalejaye (SAN)
