All public and private primary and secondary schools, as well as technical colleges in Ogun State have been asked to proceed on the first term mid-term holiday for the 2021/2022 academic session from this Thursday 21October to Friday 22 October, 2021.
The State Commissioner for Education Science and Technology, Prof Abayomi Arigbabu, in a statement on Monday in Abeokuta, issued the directive to the schools in the state
Arigbabu in the statement added that, ‘Open Day’ for both primary and secondary schools would be held on Wednesday, October 20, 2021.
All schools according to the statement, "are expected to resume for the second half of first term academic activities on Monday, October 25, 2021".
The commissioner enjoined parents and guardians to ensure proper monitoring of their wards during the holiday.
