Father, Son, 63 Others Bag Crescent University’s First Class Degree





Father,Adebiyi Nafiu Ayinla and his son, Adebiyi Kehinde Gbenga  and 63 others have bagged First Class degree at  a combined 12th and 13th Convocation of the Crescent University, Abeokuta 

The ceremony held on Saturday in the Ogun state capital, saw Adebiyi Nafiu emerging as the overall best law graduand for the 2020/2021 academic  session while his son, Adebiyi Kehinde is the overall best graduating student in the Department of Accounting for the 2019/2020 academic session








Also four distinguished personalities including the Agura of Gbagura, Oba Saburi Babajide Bakre , Dr. Mohammed Kyari Dikwa,a public financial expert and retired Permanent Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Finance, Sheikh Muhyideen Kolawole Nojimdeen Al-Kubrah, a chartered accountant and president of Muslim Association of Nigeria and Princess(Mrs) Rosemary Osulamku-Atu , a philanthropist and founder of Rosula Foundation were conferred with various honourary doctorate degrees  



Vice –Chancellor of the university, Prof. Ibraheem Gbajabiamila revealed that 422 graduated with first degree for the 2019/2020 session while 337 graduated in various degree proogrammes for the 2020/2021 session as well as 36 students with Master’s degrees for the two sessions 

The vice-chancellor while congratulating the graduands added that the university had in the last two session witnessed a growth in the population of students as well as scholarship from Rosula Foundation for students in all courses.




“We have also completed the College of Health Sciences leading to the commencement of Nursing, Anatomy and Physiology programmes after a visit from the National Universities Commission(NUC)for resource verification sometime in September 2021”, he revealed
Gbajabiamila  added that the Abeokuta Business School of the university equally produced its first set Master of Business Administration MBA 

Postgraduate Students


“The university had the National Universities Commission representatives for accreditation of our programmes (Business Administration and Political Science and International Studies) in which we recorded full accreditation “,he stated



According to the vice-chancellor, all the programmes being offered by the universities recorded full accreditation including  , LLB Law,B.SC Computer Science,B.SC.Microbiology, BSC.Islamic Studies,BSC MassCommunication, BSC .Achitecture, BSC,Biochemistry, BSC.Economics, BSC Business Administration and BSC.Political Science and International Relations
