Two teams from South-West region, Remo Stars of Ikenne-Remo,Ogun State and the famous Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan,Oyo State in the second tier Nigeria National League(NNL) are moving closer to the top flight Nigeria Football Professional League(NPFL)
Both sides settled for a one-all draw in the southern conference of the ongoing Super Eight competition at the Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium and presently in the joint top position with four point each while Insurance of Benin and Ekiti United are trailing behind
Remo Stars otherwise known as the Sky Blues are targeting win or at least a point in this Saturday's encounter against Insurance while the Oluyole Warriors will also be seeking for the same against Ekiti United to secure their place in the elite division in the coming football season
In the Northern conference of the second tier division,El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri, Gombe United ,Niger Tornadoes of Minna and DMD are in hot contest for promotion to the Nigeria's topflight league
