Ogun State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), says the ongoing massive redistribution of teachers in public secondary schools, is aimed at improving the academic performance of students in classrooms
The Commission’s Chairman, Evang. Olalekan Ifede who made this known during a meeting with education stakeholders, at the Commission's conference room in Abeokuta, explained that the posting of teaching and non-teaching staff was meant to cater for the under-staffed schools.
The TESCOM boss noted that the Commission would reconsider staff with critical condition in its transfer exercise, charging academic and non-academic staff to embrace the current posting and impart quality knowledge on students.
"The management intends to ensure that the academic performance of students in the State improves and this informed the redistribution exercise", he submitted.
Contributing, the Permanent Secretary in the Commission, Dr. Waheed Olanloye pointed out that the process of reviving education system requires collaborative efforts of relevant stakeholders to consolidate the State government ongoing reformation programme.
Olanloye advised teachers to discharge their duties diligently, adding that ‘’adherence to policies entrenched by the Commission, will put smiles on their faces as they would be rewarded physically and spiritually’’.
In their remarks, the Principal-Generals of Egba, Yewa and Ijebu zones commended the State Government for prioritising welfare of teachers, as well as enhancing the knowledge impartation input
