Qatar 2022 World Cup: Eagles Edge Past Cape-Verde 2-1





Nigeria's Super Eagles maintained their 100% performance at the ongoing Qatar 2022 World Cup Qualifier, after  securing a slim 2-1 vital three points against hard-fighting, Blue Sharks of Cape-Verde on Tuesday in Mindelo 

Tavares gave the homeside the lead in the 19th minutes before the Napoli of Italy's top striker. Victor Osimhen drew level ten minutes later for the Eagles

A blunder by Kenny Santos whose back pass left goal keeper, Vozinha stranded as the ball found the net to give Nigeria a comfortable lead with the maximum six points from two matches, having defeated Leone Stars of Liberia 2-0 at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos last Friday

Nigeria will on October 9, take on Central Africa Republic team in Lagos to complete the first round of matches in the world cup's qualifiers
