Teachers in Ogun State Public Secondary Schools have been charged to be more commited to providing qualitative service to students in the new 2021/2022 academic session
Chairman of the State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), Evangelist. Olalekan Ifede gave the charge while monitoring the principals and teachers in the first day of resumption alongside other management staff at Remo, Ijebu, Yewa and Egba division of the State
Ifede was highly impressed with the presence of over ninety percent of teachers and principals in all the schools visited to carry out their official duties, saying that the laid down instruction by the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun that teachers should resume a week ahead of resumption was strictly adhere to.
He called on principals and their vice to always encourage the non- teaching staff and N-Power teachers by carrying them along in the scheme of things, the Chairman urged the N-Power teachers to be more committed and ready to take up more responsibilities.
Responding, the Principal, Mayflower Secondary School, Ikene, Mrs. Matilda Olayinka said teachers were fully prepared to receive the students with their lesson plans intact, promising that they would put in their best to ensure that government policies at revamping the education sector is fully implemented.
Schools visited include, Abeokuta Grammar School, Idi- Aba, African Church Grammar School, Ita-Eko, Babtist High School, Ilaro, Emmanuel Commercial Junior High School, Sagamu High School, Mayflower School, Ikene, Odogbolu Grammar School and Odogbolu Comprehensive High School.
