Ogun Re-mouldels June 12 Cultural Centre To Attract Investors




Ogun State Government says its on-going transformation of the June 12 Cultural Centre in Kuto, Abeokuta is to attract more tourists and investors, to enhance the socio-cultural economic development of the State

 The State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Dr. Oluwatoyin Taiwo who  revealed this to newsmen in Abeokuta,
said that the reconstruction of the Centre  began last June

He explained that the massive renovation was in line with the present administration's resolve to ensure it accommodates cultural contents and activities that would depicts the state as one of the best in the country with huge potentials

The Commissioner stated that the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, being an epitome of culture embarked on the project to fulfill his promise on promoting the cultural heritage and boost the State's economy.  

He expressed government’s determination to promote the rich cultural heritage of the State to enable the upcoming generations know the importance of being identified with Yoruba tradition.

His words,"The transformation intends to attract more tourists and investors to the State for increased socio-cultural and economic development, visitors to the premises will have the experience of the cultural heritage of the State and enable the upcoming generations know the importance of being identified with our tradition and sell it to the world”

The Commissioner assured of his Ministry’s readiness to sustain and maintain the value of the Centre by sensitising members of the public on the rules guiding the usage for public functions, while advising indigenes to be proud of their cultural heritage.
