Ogun TESCOM Inducts 71 New Principals

 


Another batch of 71 new principals have been inducted by the Ogun StateTeaching Service Commission .

The induction brings to 312 ,the total number of Principals inducted since the advent of the Prince Dapo Abiodun led-administration in the last two years.

Chairman of the Commission, Evangelist Olalekan Ifede while addressing the new inductees recently during a ceremony at the Lisabi Grammar School, Idi-Aba, Abeokuta, admonished them to be diligent in the discharge of their duties and contribute to the advancement of the education sector in the State.

Ifede urged them to always apply wisdom and fairness, in their day-to-day activities, to propel academic excellence among students, assuring that the Commission remained committed to ensuring professional ethics, equity, good performance, so as to reposition secondary schools across the State.

The Chairman commended the State Government for approving the recruitment of new teachers, who would be on internship for two years before gaining full employment

He said that the era of lobbying for postings had passed, as final selection would be based on merit.

Speaking earlier the Chairman, Induction Committee, Hon. Joseph Adeleye advised the new Principals to utilise their positions for academic and administrative excellence in their various schools, adding that it was a call to service.

Responding on behalf of other inductees, Mrs. Akinwunmi Ayegbami and Dr. Simeon Odeniyi, pledged their readiness to adhere strictly to the ethics of the teaching profession, applauding Governor Dapo Abiodun for giving priority attention to the education sector.
