Abiodun Reassures GTBank,Other Investors Of Conducive Environment

Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has re-assured Guaranty Trust Bank and other investors of  his administration's commitment, to creating conducive environment for business to thrive

He said that the administration would continue to put in place workable strategies and deliberate policies targeted at ensuring even industrialisation and mutually beneficial partnership to improve the living conditions of the people.

Abiodun was speaking in Abeokuta at the grand opening and commissioning of the GTCO Training Center established by Guaranty Trust Bank (GTB), to commemorate the 10th year remembrance of one of its founding fathers, Mr. Tayo Aderinokun

The Governor represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi,described  Tayo Aderinokun as a consummate professional, who had left a legacy of consistent corporate service for humanity.

Talabi, who was one of the pioneer staff of the bank, commended the innovation and leadership decision to berth the regional office in Abeokuta, pledging that the Abiodun's administration would continue to offer viable support towards realisation of the bank's objectives.

"The decision to bring this edifice to Abeokuta is another experiment, the management of GTB was quick to identify with the State government for being the new and emerging economy. Late Tayo Aderinokun of blessed memory was a fine gentleman of indescribable part, a most loving gentleman whose vision to establish GTB has left an indelible mark in the sands of time. This is indeed a worthy memorial in his honour", he noted.

Reeling out the expected gains to the State, the Governor noted that the edifice would add value to the aesthetics of the emerging Abeokuta Business District, thus providing employment opportunities, alleviating poverty, as well as ensuring food security, with a great impact on his administration's investment promotion drive.

Lending his voice at the event, a former Governor of the State and member representing Ogun Central Senatorial District, Senator Ibikunle Amosun described Late Aderinokun as a dogged achiever and thorough-bred banker, whose business acumen in different sectors of the economy has continued to improve the Gross Domestic Product of the country and even beyond.
