NPFL: Adamawa,Katsina,Sunshine Stars, FC Ifeanyi Ubah Battle Relegation



Adamawa United are still lanquashing at the bottom of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) with 16points, despite the team's narrow lone-goal win in a week 23 mid-week match against Katsina United, in a battle to survive relegation

Sanusi's goal in the 57th gave Adamawa boys the much needed win against Katsina United who are also struggling with 22points on the 17th position

A brace from George in the 18th and 33rd minutes for the 9th placed Dakkada United of Uyo with 33 points, worsened the woes of the FC  Ifeanyi Ubah who are in the 19th position with just 20points 

Another relegation threatened Sunshine Stars currently in the 18th position with 21points were held to a goaless draw in Akure by visiting MFM of Lagos who are on the 12th position with 31points 

Kano Pillars are at the summit of the Nigeria's top flight league with 44points after their lone-goal win  against 5th placed Nasarawa United with 39points 

Third placed Kwara United and fourth placed Rivers United of Port-harcourt ended their encounter in Ilorin in a one-all draw, with both sides having 40points each 

Warri Wolves in the 16th position with 24points continued with its battle to survive relegation, managing a slim lone-goal win against visiting Lobi Stars of Makurdi who are in the 11th position with 31points 

Enyimba International of Aba returned to the domestic league after a disterstrous outing in the continental clubs competition, with a two/one on the road against homeside, Wikki Tourists of Bauchi

Reuben Bala gave the Aba Elephants the lead in the 15th minute before Stephen drew level for Wikki Tourists in the 33rd minute while Tosin Omoyemi grabbed the winner in the 67th minute to move the former Champions to the 7th position on the table with 34points four outstanding matches to play

This Thursday, Akwa United of Uyo currently in the second position with 41points, try the 13th placed Abia Warriors with 28points for size while sixth placed Enugu Rangers with 34points take on visiting Jigawa Golden Stars of Dutse who are in the 14th position with 28points
