FUNAAB Abducted Student, Two Others Regain Freedom




Toyinbo Olayinka, the 400 Level student of Aqualculture and Fisheries Management,Federal University of  Agriculture,Abeokuta(FUNAAB), abducted last Saturday by gunmen,has regained his freedom along with two others 

The student was abducted at  a private Farm at Abule Itoko, 10 km away from Campus breathed the air of freedom 

Head, Directorate of Public Relations of the university, Kola Adepoju who confirmed the development in a statement on Tuesday in Abeokuta, said that the student was released on  yesterday(Monday) night.

Adepoju in the statement, said  that the student was released by his abductor unharmed, safe and sound.

According to him, the release of Toyinbo has thrown the entire University Community,the students in particular who staged a peaceful protest yesterday into jubilation.

Adepoju in the statement, expressed the  deep appreciation of the University's management on behalf of the entire Academic Community to security agencies both conventional and unconventional,especiallylOgun State Police Command

The university also appreciated 
the media,traditional rulers, other stakeholders and the public in general for their concern and efforts, which led to the freedom of the student.

Details of his release are still sketchy 

Also Spokesman of the State Police Command Deputy Suprintendent of Police, Abimbola Oyeyemi confirmed the released of the other two persons abducted along with student, the owner of the farm and 17 year old Togolese girl
