Three Railway Workers In Police Net Over Vandalized Cables




Three workers of Railway corporation are now in custody of the Ogun State Police Command for  allegedly vandalizing the railway cables in Kajola area of Ifo Local Government Area of the state. 

The suspects arrested last March 11 included 26 year-old Frank Obi , 42 year-old Eze Ogbonna and 27 year-old James Ejor were arrested following a report by the supervisor of Kwochason Global Gas company working on new railway construction in Kajola that five persons were caught while cutting cables at the railway line by the company security guard.

The suspects according to the supervisor, overpowered the security guard and ran away. 

Spokesman of the State Police Command, DSP. Abimbola Oyeyemi who made the arrest known in a statement, explained that the suspects were later arrested upon the report to the DPO Ifo Division, CSP.Adeniyi Adekunle who detailed his detectives to fish out the hoodlums. 

Intelligence investigation according to Oyeyemi, led the policemen to their hideout where the three suspects were arrested while two amongst them escaped. 

He says preliminary investigation revealed that the suspects are all working in the same company. 

Recovered from them are, a shaw blade and a bunch of cable cut from the rail. 

Meanwhile, the State Commissioner of Police,  Edward Awolowo Ajogun has ordered a manhunt for the fleeing members of the gang. 

He also directed that the arrested suspects must be diligently prosecuted.
