Ruthless Kwara Boys Thrash Adamawa 5-0,Reclaim NPFL Top Spot

Kwara United of Ilorin returned to the summit of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL)after thrashing visiting Adamawa United 5-0 on Sunday in a week 17 match 
A brace from Ohanu in the 6th and 71minutes  and hat-trick from Steven in the 39th, 60th and stoppaged time, completed the demolition of the Adamawa boys who are deeper in the relegation water with just 11points at the bottom of the table while Kwara United reclaimed their leadership  position with 30 points

Kano Pillars moved up to the second position with the same 30points, after securing a vital two,/one win on the road against the f, Wikki Tourists of Bauchi

Two goals from Nwagua in the 13th minute  and Odenigbo in the 27th minute ,were enough to grab the maximum three points  against host, Wikki Tourists, who got a consolatory goal through chukwude in the 66th minute. 

Akwa United also climed to the third spot with 29points, after recording a similar two-one win against the homeside, MFM of Lagos at the. Soccer temple stadium in Agege 

Lobi Stars humiliated Rivers United of Port-harcourt 4-1 in Markurdi but still remain behind the Stanley Eguma tutored side who are in the sixth position with 27points ,one point ahead of the Lobi Stars who are occupying the seventh position with  26points 

Abia Warriors continued with its  impressive performance at home with a convincing 3-1 victory over the visiting Katsina United while Heartland and relegation threatened, Warri Wolves ended in a one-all draw

On Monday, 5th placed Enugu Rangers and 4th placed Nasarawa United of Lafia battle for top spot at the Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium in Enugu

Also struggling FC Ifeanyi Ubah take on Jigawa Golden Stars, Dakkada and Plateau United of Jos clash in Uyo  while Sunshine Stars confront  Enyimba International of Aba in Akure
