Ogun State Government has distributed 26mini buses to its Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development to enhance monitoring activities of the ministry's 22 Zonal Town Planning Offices across the State.
The distribution of the operational vehicles is to actualize the Dapo Abiodun's administration agenda at ensuring proper town planning and urban renewal in the state
The State Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development,TPL. Olatunji Odunlami while handing over the vehicles at the Arcade ground, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, says monitoring of physical development is paramount to the present administration.
He added that monitoring of development had been a challenge to some of the zonal offices, saying the offices needed to be well equipped to effectively carry out their jobs.
Odunlami who appreciated Governor Dapo Abiodun, for the gesture, urged the Zonal Town Planning Officers to work harder in order to achieve sanity in physical environment, as well as to generate revenue into the coffers of the State government.
The Acting General Manager, Planning and Development Permit Authority,TPL. Kolawole Ogun had earlier advised the officers to make judicious use of the vehicles, so as to serve the purpose for which they were provided.
