Ogun State House of Assembly has tasked construction giants,China Civil Engineering Construction Company (CCECC) to provide the needed projects for its host Communities and ensure conducive business environment
The House Committee on Justice, Ethics and Public Petitions, Hon.Solomon Osho accompanied by other members, gave the charge on Monday at the Assembly's Complex, Oke- Mosan, Abeokuta.while mediating in a petition against the Company by the communities in Remo North and Ijebu North Local Government Areas
Hon. Osho enjoined the management of the company to ensure wide consultation with the host communities to know their demand before embarking on the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects to aid the development of the communities.
The Committee members including, Honourables Musefiu Lamidi and Akeem Balogun stressed the need to close the communication gap between the company and its host communities by ensuring constant interface through the traditional rulers on the need to ensure the implementation of projects that would be beneficial to the communities.
The CCECC Legal Officer, Mr. Olajide Adesina had earlier expressed the committment of the company to development of various host Communities
He explained that the company had continued to grant requests made by associations and groups within the communities while promising to immediately commence community engagements for better community relationship.
