Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets have qualified for the forthcoming AFCON Under-17 in Morocco, after securing a narrow lone-goal win against Young Stallion of Burkina-Faso on Friday, to reach the final of the ongoing WAFU-B U-17 tournament in Lome, Togo.
Michael Emmanuel grabbed one of the qualification tickets for Nigeria with his 77th minute goal in a keenly contested first semi-final match of the competition.
The Coach Fatai Amoo tutored side had missed several scoring chances in the first half, before breaking the deadlock in the late minute of the very tough encounter.
The Five time World Cup Champions improved on their previous matches played in the group stage of the competition, showing more coordination in defence through out the semi-final match.
Golden Eaglets also dominated the midfield which eventually led to the only goal of the crucial match.
