Gateway United Beat Iba Estate Warriors 3-1



Gateway United Football Club continued with its impressive build up for the second tier, Nigeria National League (NNL) which kicks-off on January 16, after beating lowly rated Iba Estate Warriors of Lagos three/one on Thursday.

Edu-Biznews recalled that the team had earlier in December , thrashed Iconica of Ibadan 6-2 in one of the preparatory matches.

Michael Okolo opened scoring for the Gateway boys in just nine minutes of the tuned up match played at the MKO Abiola International Stadium in Kuto, Abeokuta but  they allowed the visitors to draw level few minutes later.

The Coach Akeem Busari tutored side regained their lead through Fatai Bakare in the 34th minute while Haruna Salifu put the game beyond the visiting team with the third goal in the 52nd minute.

The Abeokuta based side will take on Chosen Generation Football Club in another build up match slated for  3:00pm today at the training pitch of the MKO Abiola International Stadium in Kuto Abeokuta.
