TESCOM Tasks Ogun Principals-General For Effective Performance



Ogun State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) has tasked Principals-General  to apply their professional skills, in ensuring regular monitoring of teachers and other stakeholders for effective  performance in the education sector , particularly Secondary Schools in the state.

The  StateTeaching Service Commission's Chairman, Evang. Olamilekan Ifede gave the charge  during a familiarisation meeting with Principals- General at the Commission's Conference Room, Oke-Mosan in Abeokuta, the state  capital.

Ifede  stressed the need  for educational stakeholders to synegise, in order to propel education excellence in the State.

He added that the TESCOM board under his leadership remained committed to the government's vision, which aimed at repositioning the education sector and  take the commission to a greater height.

Also the Permanent Secretary of the commission, Mr. Johnson Odeyemi, said that it was vital for Principals-General and other stakeholders, to organise seminars regularly for teachers, to enlighten them on quality preparation of lesson notes, quality format and style of teaching students, among others.

Odeyemi hinted that it was imperative for personnel, who are due for retirement, to present their letters six months before their exit from service to enable them access their monthly pension allowance in time.

 One of the TESCOM's Commissioners, Hon. Joseph Adeleye who spoke earlier during the meeting, advised stakeholders to infuse their professional dexterity to teach students in habitable classrooms, saying it would help build great future leaders.

Responding on behalf of others, the Principal-General of Egba Division, Alhaja  Sekinat Ogunwolu,  appreciated the State government  for repositioning  their office, assuring the commission of justifying  the confidence reposed in them.
