Ogun Former HoS, Others Get Distinguished Awards For Uplifting Ayetoro




Former Ogun State Head of Service , Elder Olusola Adeyemi has been recognized with a distinguished award  by Majo Noble Club of Ayetoro (MANCA), for his contributions to the upliftment of economy of the town in Yewa North Local Government Area of the state.

The former Head of Service was decorated with a Distinguished Administrator in the private sector alongside, Elder Israel Adeogun who are both  Advisers to the club.

 Oher personalities were also honoured with different distinguished awards for their contributions to the development of Ayetoro-Yewa and its environs.

President of the club, Manca Olubola Olakunle Aikulola speaking during the recent award ceremony and End of the Year family Program held at Adigbe, Abeokuta, said the members unanimously bestowed the honour of Advisers on Elders Adeyemi and Adeogun for being selfless pillars of support to the development of people and the growth of Ayetoro calling on others to emulate their virtues.

Aikulola who is also the Permanent Secretary, Ogun State Ministry of Industry, Trade, Investment said between 2019 and 2020 the club organised different community programmes and projects aimed further development of the town

He listed some of the programmes to include career counseling , free health screening and treatment, different artisan empowerment.

Aikulola added  that his tenure grew the Club's bank balance by 500 percent exceeding its 300 percent target while also recording 27 percent membership growth.

 He said that despite the negative effect of the Coronavirus pandemic, the Club was not deterred in its efforts at improving the lives of people.

The permanent secretary stated that various hand washing tools, hand sanitisers and nose masks were presented to the Palace of Alaye of Ayetoro during the period to aid in the fight against the virus as well as  the aged and vulnerable in the twelve quarters in the town and Igan Okoto to cushion the effect of the pandemic on the people.

Also honoured by the club are the best female candidate and second overall best candidate in the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria (ICAN) November 2019 diet, Miss Yemisi Adewusi, former Manca President, Dr. Morakinyo Oloyede, Manca Pillar Oluremi Salako, Manca Adetoun Fatoogun, Manca Star Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Itunu Faremi and Manca Fatogun Semiu Oladimeji .

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Elder Israel Adeogun  assured the club of their continuous support while lauding MANCA for its positive impact in the development of Ayetoro.

Adeogun  stressed that no other Club had done more for the development of the town than MANCA.

The highlight of the event was the announcement of Manca Abiodun Faremi as the next Manca President whose  tenure in office will run between 2021 and 2022.
