Ogun Govt.Former Minister , Alake Laud Broad Concept Entrepreneurship Hub





 


Ogun State Government, former minister, Prof. Isaac Adewole ,Alake of Egbaland and Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo have lauded the Advisory Board of Broad Concept for making history on Saturday, as Nigeria's first International Entrepreneurship Hub,an Institute established inside Taidob College Asero Abeokuta, to equip students and youths with the needed vocational skills to set up small scale businesses in the country  .

Special Adviser to the Governor on Primary and Secondary Education, Mrs.Ronke Soyombo, commended Taidob College for  establishing such entrepreneurship hub where people can people can be trained in various vocational programmes and be job creators and not seekers.

She said the initiative was inline with the Dapo Abiodun administration commitment to Technical and Vocational Education which focuses on producing students with the needed vocational skills to succeed in life.

Soyombo  asked other private schools to emulate the Taidob College by establish such vocational training centre , to equip their students with necessary vocational training in their academic programmes to create jobs and reduce the rate of unemployment in the country. 

Former Minister of Health and one-time Vice-Chancellor of University of Ibadan, Prof.Isaac Adewole stressed the need for Investment in education, particularly vocational training to produce students equipped with necessary skills.

Adewole  urged corporate organizations to support  the Entrepreneurship hub by investing in the project to train students who will be job creators , not seekers 

Oba Adedotun Gbadebo who performed the official commissioning of the ultra modern entrepreneurship hub, expressed satisfaction with quality of the facilities at the centre including  Photography and Cinematography, Catering and Confectionaries, Shoe and Bag Making, Cosmetology, Fashion Design, Graphics and Web Design, Auto Mechanic and Robotics and Artificial intelligence.

Director of the entrepreneurship hub,Mr.Obawunmi Jiboku explained that the concept was concieved two years ago, to provide opportunities actualization especially in the areas of entrepreneurship/skill acquisition and foreign degrees.

The Broad Concept according to him, has two major areas, the international programmes and entrepreneurship studies.

 He  expressed confidence that  products of the Institute would compete favourably with their counter-part anywhere in the world.
,"The Institute which stands out among any of its peers in Ogun State and even Nigeria,is tastefully furnished and stocked to international standard.With the quality of training that will be offered here and our affiliation with relevant local and international Institutions/bodies, it is certain that any one who trains at this Institute will not only become a force to be reckoned with but can confidently operate and compete favourably with any  of his/her counterparts from other parts of the world", he stated.



Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo accompanied by former minister,Prof. Isaac Adewole during the  commissioning of the ultra modern edifice of the Broad Concept International and Entrepreneurship Hub inside Taidob College, Asero, Abeokuta.

The Director assured candidates of adequate training at the international programmes unit of the Institute, to enable them gain admission into universities Australia, United Kingdom, United Arab Emirate, Canada and Mauritius.
"Candidates are assured of adequate training under the instruction and supervision of seasoned professionals for success in examination like the International English Language Testing System (IELTS), Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), Scholastic Assessment Test(SAT) and the International University Foundation Programme (IUFP) which is a 9month pathway course which offers Students an alternative entry route to leading foreign universities in countries like Canada, United Arab Emirate, Mauritius, Australia and United kingdom."

Also Justice E.O Osinuga of the Ogun State High Court and Proprietor of the Wessy Creation Fashion and Tailoring Institute, Otunba Wasiu Taiwo in their separate remarks , lauded the Chairperson of the Broad Concept Advisory Board,Chief(Mrs), H.O Jiboku, describing the concept  as laudable initiative that would address the high rate of unemployment in Nigeria.
