Ogun State Commissioner for Sports Development, Hon. Wasiu Isiaka has asked Nigerian football fans, particularly the wonderful people of the State to come out enmass and be united in their support for the Falconets who will be clashing with Junior Terenga Lionesses of Senegal in the first leg of the final round of the under 20 women's world cup qualifier holding this Saturday at the MkO Abiola Sports Arena in Abeokuta, the State capital
Already Governor Dapo Abiodun had thrown the gate of the stadium open for fans to come out in large number to cheer the Nigerian side to victory against the Senegalese
The highly elated Commissioner in a statement , urged fans to be part of excitement on Saturday by demonstrating their love for the junior female national team, the Falconets, as they prepare for a thrilling match against Senegal in the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup qualifiers taking place in Poland.
The message to the fans read in part:
"Join us at the MKO Abiola Sports Arena on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 4 PM (WAT) for an unforgettable showcase of talent, determination, and sportsmanship Your presence will not only uplift our players’ spirits but will also affirm our unwavering commitment to promoting sports and gender friendly spirit in Ogun State and across Nigeria,"
