Vice-Chancellor of the Lagos State University, Ojo, Professor Ibiyemi Ibilola Olatunji-Bello has lauded the appointment of the institution's former Dean, Faculty of Education, Professor Solomon Olanrewaju Makinde as the fifth Vice-Chancellor of Crawford University, Lusada, Igbesa in Ogun State, South West Nigeria.
Professor Makinde's appointment will take effect beginning from this Monday, 6th October 2025, following the completion of the tenure of the incumbent Vice-Chancellor, Professor Reuben Jiya Kolo.
She described the appointment of Prof. Makinde in a statement as Vice-Chancellor as further testament to the quality of academics at the most digitally advanced state university in Nigeria.
"On behalf of the university community, Professor Olatunji-Bello celebrates this landmark achievement and wishes Professor Solomon Olanrewaju Makinde a successful and impactful tenure of office", the statement concluded
