It was a golden moment for host Nigeria on the final day of the 3rd Confederation of Africa Athletics Junior Championship in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, as Miracle Ezechukwu won her third gold medal in the competition in the U-20 200metres female event, clocking a new personal best of 23.87seconds (-0.2)
She finished ahead of her compatriots, Chigozie Rosemary Nwankwo in seconds position with a massive personal best of 24.01s, while Perezide Sigah won bronze in 24.26seconds to make it another clean sweep for Nigeria in the just concluded competition at the MKO Abiola Sports Arena in Kuto area of the city
In the under 20 category of the female 100 metres event, Nigeria's Success Oyibu was outstanding , clocking a new personal best of 23.56 seconds, ahead of Chioma Cynthia Nweke who finished in second position with 23.95s, while Lucy Nwankwo won bronze in 24.24seconds , to record another clean sweep
Prestina Ochonogor completed the golden moment for the country when she emerged as the U-20 Women’s Long Jump Champion with 6.71m , a Season’s Best & Championship Record
