2025 Hajj: Ogun League of Imams Charges Pilgrims To Sustain Act Of Righteousness



 



The League of Imams and Alfas in Ogun State has charged pilgrims who returned from the 2025 Hajj to the holy lands of Makkah and Madinah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to always sustain the act of righteousness 

Secretary General of the association, Alhaji Tajudeen Mustapha Adewunmi who  made the call while welcoming the  State contingent from this year's pilgrimage, described hajj as a life-changing experience, saying they should see themselves as ambassadors of Islam and models of piety,by allowing the spiritual lessons gained during the pilgrimage to reflect in their lifestyle 

"As pilgrims return to their homes and communities, we remind them that Hajj is not only a sacred obligation but also a life-changing experience. You are now ambassadors of faith and models of piety—let your character, discipline, and dedication to Islamic values reflect the spiritual lessons gained during the pilgrimage", he urged 

The State League of Imams and Alfas while appreciating Allah for safe return of pilgrims across the country, acknowledged the support of Governor Dapo Abiodun and National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) for their effective coordination of the spiritua exercise 

"We sincerely thank the Governor of Ogun State, His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun, for his consistent support of religious activities and for ensuring the welfare of pilgrims from the state".

"Furthermore, the League of Imams and Alfas expresses deep appreciation to all who contributed to the success of the 2025 Hajj operations"

The association used the occasion to congratulate Muslims for witnessing the new new Hijrah calendar 1447 A.H, urging them to use the new Islamic year to renew their commitment to Islamic values 

"In this spirit, we also extend our heartfelt greetings to all Muslims in Ogun State, Nigeria, and across the world on the occasion of the new Hijrah year, 1447 A.H.."

"The Hijrah marks a time of reflection, renewal, and recommitment to the values of faith, unity, and perseverance. We pray that this new year brings peace, progress, and divine blessings to our Ummah and our nation at large", the association prayed
