Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) organizers of the recently concluded third edition of the annual Media Cup in Ogun State has showered praises on Oluwalogbon Electronics for being the title sponsor of the five aside football competition won by Family 88.5 FM, Abeokuta who dethroned Splash 106.7 Fm , Abeokuta as champions of the tournament
Segun Omotobaje' strike in first half of the final played over the weekend at the Fun turf arena of MKO Abiola International Stadium in Kuto, Abeokuta, was enough to win the cup for the rival radio station in the city
Also Ogun State Television side had earlier thrashed the Consolidated Chapel of the State Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) 4-0 in the losers final, to finish in the third position
Chairman of the Ogun State chapter of SWAN, Michael-Azeez Ogunsiji was full of praises for those who ensured successful packaging of the football event among media organizations in the state, particularly Oluwalogbon Electronics as major sponsor of the competition
He also appreciated the support of Derdum Multiconcept Services, Chairman of Obafemi -Owode Local Government Area, Hon. Adeshina Ogunsola and Minority Leader of the State House of Assembly, Hon. Lukmon Adeleye amongst others
The SWAN equally acknowledged the support of the State Commissioner for Sports Development, Mr. Wasiu Isiaka and Special Adviser on Media to Governor Abiodun, Mr. Kayode Akinmade for creating enabling environment for the success of the competition
