Gov Abiodun Mourns Towulade of Akinale,Commiserates With Ifonyintedo Community Over Demise Of Oba Adesiyan




 
Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has described the late Towulade of Akinale, Oba Femi Ogunleye, as a great leader who lived an eventful life and put his community on the world map during his reign, even as he commiserated with the people of Ifonyintedo over the demise of another monarch,  Oba Isaac Olatunji Adesiyan (Atelugirijoye 1)

Oba Ogunleye, one of Nigeria’s topmost journalists, died in the United Kingdom on Wednesday at the age of 79.

Prince Abiodun, in a condolence message to the Ogun State Council of Obas and Akinale community, said the late monarch contributed his own quota to the development of Ogun State after an illustrious career as a journalist.

"It is with deep sadness that we mourn the loss of Oba Femi Ogunleye, a revered journalist and traditional ruler who passed away in London on Wednesday at the age of 79. 

"Oba Ogunleye was a titan in the media industry, known for his unwavering commitment to journalism and his quest for truth and accountability. As the Towulade of Akinale, he was a respected monarch who worked tirelessly to uplift his people and foster development in Ogun State.

"His distinguished career and selfless service have left an indelible mark on our society. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the Ogun State Council of Obas, his family, friends, and the entire Akinale community. 

"May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may his legacy continue to inspire future generations," the statement said.

Similarly Governor Abiodun commiserated with the family members, people of Ifonyintedo and the entire Ipokia Local Government over the demise of the Olu of Ifonyintedo, HRM, Oba Isaac Olatunji Adesiyan (Atelugirijoye 1).

Oba Adesiyan joined his ancestors on Sunday, 16 June, at the ripe age of 95.

Governor Abiodun, in his condolence message, described the late monarch as a leader who was loved by his people.

The governor said the reign of the late monarch was eventful as the Ifonyintedo community witnessed unprecedented development.

"It is with deep sadness that we received the news of the passing of His Royal Majesty, Oba Isaac Olatunji Adesiyan (Atelugirijoye 1), the Olu of Ifonyintedo. At the age of 95, Oba Adesiyan has left an indelible mark on his community as a respected leader and a guiding force.

"Oba Adesiyan dedicated his life to the service and development of Ifonyintedo. During his long reign, he worked tirelessly to promote the wellbeing and progress of his people. His wisdom, compassion, and unwavering commitment to his community will be greatly missed.

"I extend our heartfelt condolences to the royal family, the Ifonyintedo Council of Chiefs, and the entire Ifonyintedo community," the statement said.
