Prof. Jacinta A. Opara has been appointed as the first female Vice Chancellor of Dominican University in Ibadan, the Oyo Stste capital, beginning from July 1, 2024.
Opera is expected to bring her wealth of experience including the impressive background in environmental sciences, health research and management consulting, to bear on this prestigious role as an administrator.
Her journey includes degrees from various institutions across the globe, including the University of Nigeria, Universidad Católica San Antonio (UCAM) in Spain, and Universidad Central de Nicaragua.
As a Fellow of esteemed institutes, she has consistently demonstrated her commitment to education, leadership, and community development.
