NPFL:Enugu Rangers Sustain Lead After 3-4 Loss To Katsina Utd As Remo Stars Move Closer




Enugu Rangers have continued to sustain their lead in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) with 51 points, despite 3-4 loss to homeside, Katsina United currently placed sixth with 44points after week 29 round of matches on Sunday

Second placed Lobi Stars of Makurdi with the same 51points defeated visiting Enyimba International of Aba currently in fourth position with 48 points behind Remo Stars of Ikenne-Remo who are still retaining their third position with 49 points after a slim 2-1 win against the visiting Akwa United of Uyo struggling in relegation water in the 18th position with 31points 

A win for the Skye-Blue Stars in the outstanding home match in Ikenne-Remo against Rivers United of Port Harcourt will see them displacing Rangers at the summit of the topflight league with a point 

Plateau United of Jos are placed fifth with 47points after 4-0 thrashing of Doma United who dropped to the 12th position with 37points 

The match between seventh placed Shooting Stars of Ibadan with 43 points  and Kano Pillars occupying eight position with 41 points will hold this Monday in Ibadan

Niger Tornadoes are in the ninth position with 39points, after their 5-0 demolition of the visitors, Gombe United who are still languishing at the bottom of the table 22points while Bendel Insurance of Benin are in the tenth position with 38points , after securing a vital point in a one-all draw with the homeside, Kwara United of Ilorin currently placed 16th on the ladder with 33points 

The match between 11th placed Abia Warriors with 38points and the country's Continental flag bears Rivers United occupying 17th position with 31points has been postponed till later date because of CAF Confederation Cup engagement of the Pride of Rivers 

Heartland of Owerri are still struggling in relegation water in the 19th position with 26points inspite of their impressive 3-1 win against the visiting nosy Lagosians, Sport Lagos currently placed 13th with 35points 

Sunshine Stars of Akure forced their visitors , Bayelsa United of Yenegoa to one-all draw to occupy 14th position with 33points ahead of the Yenegoa based in the 15th position with the same number of points
