Governor Dapo Abiodun has been honoured with an eminent Ambassador of Peace Award in recognition of the unwavering determination of his administration in sustaining a peaceful socio-economic condition in Ogun State
The outstanding award was conferred on the governor during a special Sunday Service by the Nigerian Baptist Convention, (NBC), to mark its 110th Super Centenary Anniversary celebration at the International Convention Centre, Lafuwape, Kilometre 30, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

Commissioner for Budget and Planning, Hon. Olaolu Olabimtan , appreciated the honour to be part of the historic celebration, saying the Nigerian Baptist Convention remained a notable catalyst for positive change and a source of inspiration in its contribution to the growth and development of Nigeria.
He counselled people to recommit themselves to core values where love, compassion, justice and equality would reign, calling for a society where dignity, respect and righteousness prevail for more socio-economic development in Nigeria.
He assured the people of his unwavering commitment in advancing lofty goals and aspirations, to engender peace in the state
Speaking, the President, Nigerian Baptist Convention, (NBC), Rev. Dr. Israel Akanji, commended the state government for gracing the event, expressing delight over the 110 years of existence of NBC in the country
The occasion was also graced by the Ekiti State Governor, Abiodun Oyebanji, who was represented by the state’s Head of Service, Engr. Sunday Komolafe.
