Governor Dapo Abiodun has approved the appointment of Augustine Adekunle Oyesanwen as a Permanent Secretary in the Ogun State Civil Service.
Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi who announced the approval of the appointment in a statement made available to Edu-Biznews, said Oyesanwen was appointed Permanent Secretary alongside with two other senior Directors in the State Civil Service.
Oyesanwen who hails from Sagamu completed his elementary education at St Thomas African Church Primary School, Obada, Ijebu Igbo in 1979 and his secondary education at Christ Apostolic Grammar School, Iperu-Remo in 1987.
He obtained his first degree in Agricultural Economics and Farm Management in 1992 from Ogun State University now Olabisi Onabajo University Ago lwoye . Also, his Master of Science in Agricultural Economics in year 2010 from Delta State University.
Currently, Oyesanwen is almost through with his PhD in Agricultural Economics in Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta (FUNAAB).
Mr. Augustine Adekunle Oyesanwen won 1992/93 NYSC Delta State award plus automatic employment and as a result he was employed into Delta State civil service in 1994 as Agric. Officer II GL 08.
Until his latest appointment, Augustine Adekunle Oyesanwen had worked in different capacities at various Ministries both in Delta and Ogun States, Oyesanwen was in 1999 appointed the pioneer Procurement and Marketing Manager of Delta Agricultural Procurement Agency (DAPA) an Agricultural inputs organization of Delta State.
He had worked at Ogun State Ministry of Agriculture as Director, Planning, Research and Statistics and later seconded to the Ministry of Rural Development as the substantive Director, Planning, Research and Statistics grade level 17.
Oyesanwen was also assigned some special assignments as the State Business and Marketing Development Officer of Ogun State FGN/IFAD Assisted Valued Chain Development Programme (VCDP) from 2014 till date.
The Permanent Secretary designate has attended international courses and seminars under the State government. He is an Associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria (lCAN) and Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliatory(lCMC).
Oyesanwen is a devoted Christian, he is happily married to Kikelomo Oyesanwen and they are blessed with children.
