Ogun State Government has inaugurated Monitoring and Evaluation(M&E), as well as Enforcement and Compliance (E & C) Units in the State Ministry of Housing, as part of measures to ensure professionalism and accountability in sanitizing building process in the state
The State Commissioner for Housing, Jagunmolu Omoniyi, who was represented by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Housing, Hon. Tajudeen Egunjobi, while speaking during the event at the Conference Room of the Ministry, said it was imperative for members of the Units to discharge their duties with utmost ability and determination, as the Ministry had found them worthy of the new tasks.
"You have been given the crucial tasks of monitoring and evaluating government projects, therefore you have to ensure that everyone key into the policy of the government", he said.
The Commissioner enjoined officers to see the assignment as their primary responsibility, ensure professionalism and accountability in the discharge of their duties, thereby helping the Ministry to achieve more.
Earlier in his remarks, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Engr. Muritala Adekunle, appreciated the Commissioner for ensuring proficiency in the sector, charging the unit heads to uphold the highest standards of design, construction and material usage.
Responding, the Head of the Units, Arc. Ayodele Abiodun and QS Tayo Fassasi, promised to handle their assignments diligently and effectively.
