Team-Ogun Shooters have recorded an impressive performance at the ongoing Para-Games in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja, winning gold, silver and bronze in female double rifle and other individual events
The para-shooters including Ileyemi Yinka and Salako Kehinde clinched gold medal in the female's double rifle event while Adeniji Adedimeji won silver medal in the individual event
Similarly Ileyemi Yinka won another bronze in other individual event, making three medals on the first day of the games
The highly elated Coach Idris Oguntayo of the Ogun State was full of praises for the para-shooters who despite their late arrival at venue of the event, were able to put up appreciable outing
He said that the participation of shooters would enhance their qualifications for the 2024 Para-Olympic in Paris, France
The competition continues on Tuesday with more events to be decided
