Ogun State Government has expressed its readiness to always give necessary relevant examination bodies to sustain standard and quality education in Nigeria.
The State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu stated this while receiving the State branch of the National Business and Technical Examinations Board, (NABTEB), led by its Acting Coordinator, Mrs. Sarah Adoghe in his office at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.
The State according to Arigbabu, is noted for excellence in the scheme of things, particularly in education, adding that the Prince Dapo Abiodun-led government would not compromise standards.
The Commissioner noted that NABTEB being one of the acceptable qualifications for higher institutions was set up by the Federal Government for certification of students in the Vocational and Technical Education sector
He assured that the present government would strengthen its partnership with the Board to perform its statutory functions effectively.
“The State government will continue to give necessary support to all examination bodies such as NABTEB, NECO, WAEC JAMB and others”, the Commissioner assured
Earlier in her remarks, Mrs. Adoghe appreciated the State government for its usual backing of NABTEB and the seamless effort to take the education sector to a higher pedestal, saying the board would continue to contribute its quota until a desired goal is achieved.
Adoghe sought the Ministry’s assistance on the certification of Vocational School Examination, to further strengthen its acceptability for the admission process.
