Killing Of Ogun Director Of Finance: NNPP Calls For Overhauling Of Security Architecture

New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP) has called for the immediate total overhauling of security architecture in Ogun State, following last Wednesday's gruesome killing of Governor's Office Director of Finance and Accounts, Mr. Taiwo Oyekanmi by suspected armed gang who  attacked a Bullion van conveying him on  flyover at Kuto round about in Abeokuta and made away with cash inside it 

National Secretary of the party, Comrade Oginni Olaposi Sunday who made the call in a statement made available to Edu-Biznews on Thursday, expressed condolences of the members of NNPP to the family of the deceased

The party described the killing which took place in an area near one of the police formations at Ibara, as a serious indictment on the State Police Command

The statement further reads in part:

" It's obvious that something is wrong with the Security architecture of Ogun State most especially the Police."

"The attack was a serious indictment on the Ogun State Command of Nigerian Police"

"We hereby call for the immediate change of the  Leadership of Ogun State  Seculls rity Agencies to send signals and quick arrest of the security collapse of the State"

A broad day attack on the Ogun State Bullion Van few meters to Governor's office and a stone throw to Police Command is unacceptable.

"We are hereby urging the Governor not to relent in his efforts to make Ogun State safe and peaceful"

 "The Zero Tolerance for  Criminal code of Ogun State must not be Compromised by the agents of darkness as we're praying to God to give  the family of the deceased Director fortitude to bear the irreparable loss ", the statement concluded
