Rector of Yaba College Of Technology, Lagos, Engr.Obafemi Omokungbe has charged staff, students and entire community of the Nigeria's premier tertiary, to imbibe the teachings of Christ, by working harder to make the college and the country at large greater in the coming New year of 2023
Omokungbe who gave the charge in his Christmas and New year message to members of YabaTech community made available to Edu-biznews on Saturday, was also full of praises to God for the support given to him by the college community which made the institution to record significant progress in physical and infrastructural development, academic standards and enhancement, human capacity development, staff and student welfare and administrative restructuring.
"As we celebrate this Christmas and New Year, I implore you all, Christian and non-Christian alike to reflect on the teaching of Jesus Christ our Saviour and strive harder to manifest every aspect of the teaching in our daily life and our contribution to the College and Nigeria, our dear nation", he charged
"Let me, therefore seize this unique opportunity to express my heartfelt appreciation to management, staff, staff unions, students, alumni, friends of the college, and other critical stakeholders for their loyalty, commitment, and steadfastness in the course of my tenure,"the rector lauded
He described the outgoing 2022 as the year full of many positive developments for the Institution despite the insecurity and other challenges in the country
"The year 2022 has undoubtedly been one of many happy and positive developments for us at Yaba College of Technology. We have had a lot to thank God for his protection and guidance in the past years despite the challenges that surround us", Omokungbe stated
"The modest achievement recorded during the tenure of this administration could not have been possible without your support and encouragement. I thank you all immensely"
