Ogun Lauds Old Student's Association For Supporting Qualitative Education





Ogun State Government has lauded  the support of Old Students’ Associations in complementing the efforts of the Prince Dapo Abiodun-led administration in its quest to provide qualitative and free education.

The State Commissioner for Education, Science and Education, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu gave commendation at the 30th Anniversary and the Commissioning of Furniture donated by the 1992 Old Students’ Association Set of Rev. Kuti Memorial Grammar School, Abeokuta

He says their contributions had been a source of inspirations and engine of development to government and their alma mater.

Arigbabu said the State government was committed to repositioning schools in order to retain their glory in terms of restoring standards, infrastructural development, social and moral values, pointing out that schools in the State had been at the forefront of winning academic prizes locally and internationally.

“On behalf of the government, I want to appreciate the efforts of our Old Students’ Association in all our schools, giving back to your alma mater has contributed to the Association’s growth, which is commendable”, he said.

The Commissioner lauded the 1992 Set of the school for deeming it fit to give back to their alma mater, describing the gesture as worthy of emulation for the upcoming students in the school, advising the teachers and students to maintain the new furniture so as to make teaching and learning more conducive.

In his welcome address, the President of the Association, Mr. Tunde Oguntoyinbo assured that the Old Students’ Association was determined to sustain their collaborative efforts in enhancing standards and quality of education.
