Union of Egun Farmers in Ogun State has applauded Governor Dapo Abiodun for his administration's support to Egun people involvement in agriculture.
The Union of Egun Farmers under the platform of “Momo Couffou” during a colorful event held at Kobape on 3rd of December, 2022,praised the govermor for recognizing and deliberately supporting Egun people, particularly those in the farming industry.
They were full of praise for the linkage of their members to Land, Inputs, and Markets.
According to the President of the Association, Romain Pakpo, the deliberate support to Egun people has contributed to the self-confidence of Egun Youths who are now active players in various Agricultural Value Chain opportunities in Ogun State.
The Event was well attended by high profile Egun Traditional Rulers in Ogun State and the neighboring Republic of Benin; Customs and Immigration officers operating in Egun Communities in Border areas as well as other security agencies.
The State Commissioner for Agriculture, Dr. Adeola Odedina during the event,recieved the Award of Appreciation on behalf of the governor from the Apex Egun Association who also presented their newly elected officials to the government.
