Operatives of the Nigeria Customs Service, Federal Operations Unit, Zone D, have seized contraband worth of N468,341,430 and 93,700 litres of petroleum products within the last four months of the year from nine states
The Comptroller, FOU, comprising of Bauchi, Borno, Yobe, Adamawa, Taraba, Gombe, Plateau, Benue and Nasarawa, Adesanmi Omiye who made this known at a media briefing, also said the unit made 60 different seizures within September and December, 2022
“In an effort to stem the tide against the smuggling of petroleum products considering the present scarcity of the commodity in the nation, the unit has successfully intercepted 2,209 jerrycans of Premium Motor Spirit (25 litres each)"the comptroller revealed
According to him, another 149 drums of PMS (250 litres each) and 49 jerrycans of Automotive Gas Oil (25 litres each). In summary, the unit intercepted 93,700 litres of petroleum products.”,
