Abiodun Lauds Sen.Lekan Mustapha, Other Philanthropists For Embracing Ogun‘ Adopt A School’ Initiative



Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has lauded the efforts of Senator Lekan Mustapha and other philanthropists for embracing his administration's  "Adopt a School Programme"

The governor who said the partnership had enhanced the free and qualitative education policy of his administration in the State, gave the commendation while commissioning a block of six classrooms donated by Senator Lekan Mustapha and administrative block and a block of  three classrooms built by Asiwaju (Dr.) Adetunji Oredipe for Oke-Eri Comprehensive High School in Ijebu North East Local Government Area of the State

Abiodun  later  handed -over the two  projects to the management of the school

The governor, represented by the State Commissioner for Education, Science, and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu, said the notable initiatives among others had paved the way for more projects that further promote better learning, adding that his administration remained focused on its revitalisation agenda.


He noted that ‘’the State has organised a Training of Trainees workshop for 750 Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) teachers on the new method of imparting knowledge into the learners, calling on well-meaning in the society to join hands with the government to enable it to achieve more in the education sector.

Earlier speaking, Senator Mustapha said the project was carried out to support the Prince Dapo Abiodun-led administration in creating space for inclusive governance with a high premium to an uplifting education standard.

Also speaking, Asiwaju Oredipe who noted the tremendous initiatives of the Governor on education that include the rehabilitation of over 1,000 classrooms in public primary and secondary schools across the State, distribution of 25,000 pieces of furniture, the introduction of Students Identification Numbers (LIN) and many more had earned government the deserved accolades.
