Ogun SWAN Security Safety Cup: NSCDC, Police, Amotekun, Customs, Four Others Battle For S/Finals



Defending champions, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC side will do battle with Vigilante Group of Nigeria VGN in a quarter final match of the ongoing 2nd Ogun SWAN Security and Safety Cup slated for this Wednesday at the MKO Abiola International Stadium in Kuto, Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital

In other quarter finals billed for the same venue and day, Nigeria Immigration Service team clash with Nigeria Customs Service side in what looks like battle for the  control of border communities in the state

Both Ogun State Government outfits, So-Safe Corps team who have been very impressive with 100 performances will try Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps TRACE for a place in a semi-finals stage  of the Competition

Last year's finalists, Nigerian Police will engage Amotekun Corps for one of the tickets for the semi-finals of the keenly contested tournament


To qualifiy for quarter finals stage , Immigration Service and VGN finished with four points and three points ahead of the Nigerian Army who recorded a point in Group A, So-Safe Corps secured the maximum six points in Group B while both Amotekun and Department of State Security DSS finished with a point each, with Amotekun lucky to scale through

It was tough fight for defending champions, NSCDC, Customs Service and Ogun State Fire Service as they all finished with three points each in Group C,but the Fire Service side were very unlucky as they narrowly crashed out of the competition 

In Group D, Nigerian Police and TRACE finished with four and two points respectively, ahead of Nigerian Correctional Service who recorded a point
