Archers from Lagos, Edo, Delta , Federal Capital Territory Abuja, host Ogun State, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC as well as Nigerian Air-Force and Nigeria Police Force are battling for tickets to represent Nigeria in the 2022 Tizocatha ( West African and Central African) Archery Championship holding between September 7 and 12 in Benin Republic
Archers were seen competing seriously at the Archery Range set up at the Cricket Ovals of the MKO Abiola International Stadium in Kuto, Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital
Secretary General and Technical Director of the Nigeria Archery Federation, Olatunji Olugbenga speaking with sports writers from the sideline of the venue of the qualifiers , said that the national competition which started on Wednesday would end on Friday with the eventual winners picking the qualification tickets to represent Nigeria in the major Africa Championship
He added that events at the national competition include individual men, individual women, men's team, women's team and mixed doubles events
Olugbenga said that the federation had earlier organized a two-day course for Judges in the game held between August 30 and 31, 2022
