Ogun Govt To Improve Facilities In Schools As Pupils Resume For New Session




Ogun State Government has expressed its commitment to improve on infrasture in puplic schools, even as pupils resumed on Monday for a new 2022/2023 academic session.

The State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu gave the assurance while leading the government's monitoring team to some of the schools in  Abeokuta, Ijebu and Remo axis of the State

Arigbabu who  expressed satisfaction with the level of readiness in the schools, explained that the visit was to ascertain the infrastructure needed to be put in place by the government.

The Commissioner pointed out that some of the schools had forwarded records of their infrastructural data to the Ministry, saying ‘’it is necessary for us to find out what should be done in some of the schools, as the government is committed to the revitalisation of the education sector. l want to encourage all learners to be of good conduct’’.

In their remarks, the Principal, Remo Secondary School, (Senior), Mrs. Olubunmi Shuaibu and her counterpart in Agunbiade Victory High School, Abeokuta, Mrs. Christianah Odeyele said the schools had resumed fully and were ready to ensure smooth teaching and learning activities for the session.

Other schools visited in Ijebu axis include, Molipa High School, Our Savior Anglican Primary School, Italowajoda, Wesley Primary School, Moslem Primary and Comprehensive High School, Ijebu-Ode, while Soyindo Community High School as well as Remo Secondary School in Remo and Agunbiade Victory High School in Abeokuta.

Edu-biznews recalled that  some of the schools had earlier been renovated with provision of the needed furniture including chairs and tables and other facilities across the state
