Crescent Varsity VC Clinches 2022 Best PR Friendly Award

The PR Primus Limited in conjunction with the Ogun State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) on Thursday, 8th  of September 2022 ,celebrated  Vice Chancellor of Crescent University, Abeokuta, Prof. Ibraheem Gbajabiamila with a distinguished award as  the 2022 Outstanding Public Relations Friendly Chief Executive.

The Managing Director and Chief Executive of PR Primus, Mr Akin Okudero announced this at the 2022 maiden edition of "Your Image and Award" which also featured the launching of  the special edition of the PR Primus magazine which focuses  on promotion of brands and organisations.

The Award and Lecture themed "Turning Around the Nation: The Leadership Question" was well attended by public relations gurus, industry captains and academic juggernauts.

In his citation, Professor Gbajabiamila was described as leading Crescent University to numerous achievements "including 100% accreditation of all programmes, Crescent alumni making first class at the Nigerian Law School and getting top notch jobs in the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Nestle Foods and many more"

Presenting the award, the National President of NIPR, Mukhtar Sirajo said Professor Gbajabiamila was honoured "for his outstanding appreciation and support for public relations personnel, professionals and activities within and outside his establishment".

Other personalities who received awards in other categories are Chief Fassy Yusuf, a former secretary-general of council of NIPR; Prof. Felix Kolawole Salako,the Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta; Mr Rasheed Bolarinwa, President, Association of  Corporate and Marketing Communication Professionals; Architect Olusegun Aluko and Dr Olufunke Ajinkurolere.

Represented by an international award-winning journalist and Head of Department of Mass Communication, Crescent University, Dr Kola Adesina,  the vice chancellor said the award was a worthwhile recognition of hard work, professionalism and human relations.
