Rector of the Yaba College of Technology, Lagos, Engr. Obafemi Omokungbe has called for support of the entire management,staff and students to make the institution greater , just as he urged Muslims to be mindful of security challenges in Nigeria by celebrating this year's Eid-el-Adha with moderation
The rector in his Sallah message made available to Edu-biznews on Saturday, appreciated the staff and students for the co-operation given to the management team which assisted greatly in repositioning the college as an institution of first choice for many students in the country
"I enjoin all Muslim and non-Muslim staff of the College to imbibe the virtue of love and peace as exemplified by the Holy Prophet Mohammed(PBUH)", he urged
"As we celebrate with our families, friends, and well-wishers, let us be vigilant and mindful of the security challenges of our environment. We should therefore celebrate moderately and responsibly", the rector added
"Equally, let me use this period to express appreciation to staff and students of the College who have always supported Management in its effort to reposition the College as an institution of first choice in the country"
Omokungbe then prayed Allah for grace to achieve the management's dream for the institution while seeking for peace and good health of the college's community
