NPFL:Katsina, Heartland, Kano Pillars Join MFM In Relegation As Remo Secure CAF's Ticket



Katsina United, Heartland of Owerri, Kano Pillars on Sunday joined the Mountain of Fire and Miracles MFM of Lagos in the relegation from the elite Nigeria Professional Football League NPFL to the second tier Nigeria National League NNL

In Bauchi, Wikki Tourists recorded a 2-0 win against visiting Katsina United who finished in the 17th position with 48points

Similarly Heartland with 47points finished in the 18th position inspite of their lone-goal win against visiting Kwara United of Ilorin who ended on the fourth spot with 58points 

Also Kano Pillars who managed a slim 2-1 victory over Shooting Stars of Ibadan, still ended the season on the 19th spot with 45points irrespective of the winning while the already relegated bottom placed MFM of Lagos with 36points lost at home to Nasarawa United of Lafia by a lone-goal

Remo Stars of Ikenne-Remo made history for themselves after securing the much needed CAF Confederation Cup's ticket after their impressive 3-0 home win against visiting Niger Tornadoes courtesy of Andy Okpe's hattrick in the 31st, 47th and 75th minutes respectively to finish third with 62points 

Champions, Rivers United of Port harcourt crowned their efforts with a lone-goal victory over visiting Gombe United, to end the season at the summit of the elite league with 77points 

Second placed Plateau United of Jos with 67 points also ended the season on a winning note with a lone-goal victory over Enyimba International of Aba 

Enugu Rangers finished in the fifth position with 56points after recording a 2-0 win against the former champions,Akwa United of Uyo, Dakkada United of Uyo thrashed Sunshine Stars of Akure 3-0

Abia Warriors also recorded similar margin against Lobi Stars of Makurdi
