NPFL: Rivers, Plateau Sustain Lead After Losses As Remo Stars, Enugu Still Battle For CAF Confederation Ticket





Both Rivers United of Port-harcourt and Plateau United of Jos still sustained their first and second positions on the Nigeria Professional Football League NPFL after their losses in week 26 matches 

The pride of Rivers who are currently at the summit of the Nigeria's top flight league with 55 points were narrowly defeated 2-1 by host Kwara United in Ilorin while second placed Plateau United with 51points  failed to close the gap as they fell to their host,Dakkada United of Uyo by a lone-goal

Remo Stars and Enugu Rangers are battling themselves for the one of the CAF Confederation Cup's tickets

The Sky Blue Stars  secured the needed maximum three points at home ground, Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne-Remo after edging past their visitors, Wikki Tourists of Bauchi by a lone-goal, to move to the third position with 43points, displacing Enugu Rangers to the fourth place  with 42 points 

The Flying Antelope had  settled for a goal less draw with home side, Mountain of Miracles MFM FC in Lagos

Also 5th placed Kwara United with 40 points are also in contention for the continental ticket following their vital 2-1win against leaders Rivers while defending Champions, Akwa United of Uyo are now in the 6th position with 39points after suffering a lone-goal defeat on the road to Katsina United
