The Ogun State Government has expressed confidence in the abilities of candidates in public secondary schools to put up better performance in the ongoing May/June West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination WASSCE, than the previous years
The State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof Abayomi Arigbabu expressed the confidence while leading other top officials of his ministry to monitor the examination in Abeokuta area
According to him, government
had put in place measures that would advance teaching and learning activities
Arigbabu added that the intervention would restore and sustain the standard of education in the State.
The Commissioner added that the preparation put in place was in order, with students diligently doing their examination without any interference,
“We are quite confident that with learners’ seriousness, they will come out successful. Our learners have comported themselves from what we can see and I want to advise them to rely on their abilities and shun untoward practices that will bring shame to them”, he stated
The team visited, Rev. Kuti Memorial Grammar School, Isabo, Abeokuta Grammar School, Government Science and Technical College, Idi-Aba, and Premier Grammar School, Lanfewa.
