Ogun Women's Race Holds In Abeokuta




A  maiden 5-Kilometre race strictly for  women, is billed to hold in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, on 4th of June, 2022 

Brussel Sports Management Limited, organizers of the event in a statement, asked interested participants  to register  for the race beginning from  last Monday, April 4, 2022.

According to the Managing Director of the company, Mr. Seyi Johnson, the race is specifically put together as an avenue to celebrate the 5 initiative and also encourage healthy living culture among women.

 "This is the first of its kind in Ogun State, there is no record of a race that featured just the women, so it's our own way of attributing greatness to the female gender and encourage healthy living", Johnson added 

"Arrangements are in top gear to host a top notch first edition", he revealed

"Thankfully, the Ogun State government has created an enabling environment for an event of this magnitude to thrive, so we enjoin top brands and corporate bodies to be part of this history".

Participants must be 18 years and above, must be an indigene or resident of Ogun State, and must be medically fit to participate.

According to the schedule, the maiden Ogun Women Run is scheduled  to take place in the Rockcity ,starting from 8am.

The race is billed to take off at First Bank, Sapon road and will terminate at the MKO Abiola International Stadium, Kuto, the entire course will be shut down all through the event.

Organizers have confirmed that just One thousand, five hundred (1500) participants will be allowed to take part in this first edition.
